Catching up

I'm not going to try and go back and cover everything we've been up to.  Life with two little boys is certainly full of fun and busy days.  They are both growing and learning new things like crazy! 
There are a few new things in life that are keeping us on our knees (in prayer).  We found out mid January that we will be adding another little one to our family this fall.  I go to the doctor next week and should have a better due date though we all know it's not like they follow those.  This pregnancy has been an interesting one so far.  I do have nausea and tons of heartburn.  But it is a weird mix of both.  Food has been very hit and miss as well.  NOTHING sounds appealing.  Overall I'm thankful it is not worse and that for the most part I can do what I need to for my boys until the hubs gets home to help me out in the evenings. 
I also started a new part time job at the beginning of the month.  I am now the Nursery/Preschool Director at our church.  So far the transition has gone pretty well.  We are in a period of change and advancement overall as a family ministry but are excited about where the Lord is taking us.

Dusting off the ol blog yet again

Once upon a time I enjoyed blogging semi regularly.  Then I spent more time reading other blogs than posting on my own.  Then I had kids.  Sometimes I debate how much of their lives I want to share online and other times they keep me too busy to even think about blogging.  Lately however I have found that blogging might be a great way to keep our family and friends updated on the little things our family is up to.  Things that are fun, sweet, and special but that might not make it to an email, text, or phone call.  I'm not making any promises but here's to another go at it :).

long time no "see"

So I never really followed through with my goal to get more up here about little man's birthday.  Life just goes by too quickly.  Since I last posted we made it through the end of the year holidays/birthdays and then headed down to Florida for Zach's wedding and family vacation.  The wedding was wonderful and we had a blast hanging out with everyone for the week.  It was even more fun that several days at Disney were included.

Another major reason for my not posting for a long while now is our newest blessing.  We found out right before Christmas that we will be adding a second child to our family!  This pregnancy has been very different from my first in many ways.  The biggest way being a nearly constant state of nausea that stayed with me for about a month.  After some help from the doctor and a bit of time I am now starting to feel better and able to get back to a bit more of my life.  It is hard to believe that we are already 11 weeks along and almost to the second trimester already! 

Jeremiah continues to amaze us.  He is such a joy.  Lately it seems he learns something new almost every day.  He loves music and going to kindermusik.  He also continues to love reading and his stacking cups--he can stack and nest them all on his own now.  As a part of toddlerhood we are dealing with our own mix of fits as he expresses his opinions over not getting to have/do what he wants.  Thankfully these are not constant and his laughter/joy continues to make up the majority of his personality.

just a second

I don't have long to sit down and write today but I wanted to write down a few things.  Our little man did in fact turn one and we had a fantastic party with lots of our family and friends!  Hopefully in the next day or so I can get back on here and write a post about his birthday and party.  Since his birthday lots of our running around and craziness has slowed down.  Praise the Lord!  I am enjoying the more relaxed days with my sweet boy and catching up on some household to dos. 

20 days

Time doesn't stand still.  Sometimes we want it to and other times we wish it went faster.  Any way you look at it it doesn't stand still.  In twenty days (actually 19 now since I'm writing so late) my sweet little boy will turn one.  A whole year old.  365 days of life with him.  What a blessing every single day/moment has been.  I will always cherish October 23, 2010 the day I became a mother.  I thank God nightly as I go in to pray over his sweet growing self for the blessing of being his mom.  For trusting this sweet child to us. 
We are busy with preparations to go to the beach and to celebrate our sweet boy's first year.  Life is full of blessings.  Too many to count, thank you Lord!!
For now I will enjoy the next 20 days.  Holding tight to my baby, before he officially becomes a toddler.  Time flies too fast...

Dusting off the ol blog a bit...

If you check this blog often for updates on our family, especially the smallest cutest member then I am sorry. I have failed at updating here. I am good about keeping up with Jeremiah's monthly calendar and baby book and even with his monthly pictures but not so good at the blogging. It has also become much harder to find time to sit down at the computer now that our little man is mobile and much more interested in the world around him.
I am thanking God daily for the joy our son brings to our lives. He is so much fun! I am so blessed to be able to stay home with him and to really have the time to play and enjoy him. His latest antics include pushing his hippo push toy all over, pulling up on EVERYTHING, eating almost all of his food with his hands, crying when its time to get out of the bath, signing more when he wants more food, and looking up when you try to take his picture. I cannot believe that his first birthday is quickly approaching. Time is certainly going by way too fast!
Over the next couple of weeks I won't promise to update much. Aaron and I celebrate our second wedding anniversary on Monday and then have a couple of trips coming up before we celebrate our little man's first birthday next month.
